Calling All Volunteers!!
The Halton Children’s Water Festival is a community initiative.
We require 130 high school student volunteers, each day to help us during the 4 days of the 2010 Festival from September 29 - October 1 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. We also require the assistance of volunteers to help set up activities on Monday September 27, and dismantle the activities at the end of day Friday October 1.
You can volunteer for 1 or more days!
We are currently collecting names of potential volunteers for the 2010 Halton Children's Water Festival. Any grade 11 or 12 class can volunteer at the event. For information regarding volunteer opportunities please e-mail our volunteer coordinator.
Volunteers at the event will gain experience in teaching, public speaking, community outreach, and time management skills. Volunteers will also be provided with a Certificate of Appreciation, a Halton Children’s Water Festival t-shirt, a hearty lunch, and other goodies in appreciation of their efforts in helping to make the 2010 festival a success!
