The Halton Children’s Water Festival educates children about water attitude, inquiry and investigation.
This Festival brings together the expertise from Conservation Halton, Halton Region, the Halton Catholic District School Board, the Halton District School Board, the City of Burlington and the Town of Oakville to teach children about the different areas of water that will remain with them forever.
Who can attend?

The Festival welcomes students in grades two to five, including the two/three, three/four and four/five combined classes from the Halton Catholic District School Board, the Halton District School Board and Halton’s private elementary schools.
What will your students learn?
- Water Science and Technology
Students will learn about the water cycle, the physical science of ground and surface water, the treatment and distribution systems and the interactions between water and technology in their daily lives. - Water Conservation and Protection
Students will investigate how human activity can impact water. They will learn how to conserve, protect and manage water at home, at school and in the community. - Water Health and Safety
Students will learn about the role of water in human health, and safety around water. - Water and Society
Students will learn about the history of water, the relationship between people and the uses of water, and how to become stewards of water in their local and global community.
Photography and Video
Conservation Halton and Halton Region may take candid photographs and videotape students attending the Festival to be used for promotional purposes.
