A look back at the 2009 Halton Children’s Water Festival
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, supported and helped make the 2009 Halton Children’s Water Festival a success.
The 4th annual Festival took place from Tuesday, September 29 - Friday, October 2 at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton. Despite the cool and at times wet weather, over 4,000 children in grades 2 - 5 from schools throughout Halton enjoyed the chance to participate and learn all about water.
Helping to stage the Festival were nearly 700 volunteers who presented activities, helped set up and tear down, delivered lunches and many other aspects of staging the festival. Included amongst the volunteer base are just fewer than 450 high school students who present the activities to the elementary school students.
Once the dates for the 2010 Festival are confirmed, they will be published on this site. Hope to see you there!
